Baybay Beach Roxas is just over 7 km long, and Capiz Bay is the largest natural bay in the world 15 ยบ. The sea cliffs in most Western Visayas is on the north side of town. It is a center for copra and aquaculture production. The surrounding area grows sugarcane, rice, coconuts, fruit, hemp, and tobacco. The native dialect of Roxas City is Hiligaynon or more commonly known as Ilonggo.
According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 126,352 people in 25,126 households.

January 12, 2011Roxas City known as the “Seafoods Capital of the Philippines”. The capital city of the province of Capiz. Roxas City composed of 47 barangays which is abundant from natural resources such as agricultural (rice and vegetables) and aquatic (seafoods such as diwal, green shells and oyster).
The new administration of Hon. Angel Alan Celino gives each barangay a new hope for the progress of thier barangay. Now, the Roxas City League of the Barangays is chaired by Hon. Barangay Captain of Barangay San Jose, Mrs. Maria C. Capapas.
Roxas City League of the Barangays is a national organization composed of Barangay Captain of each barangay. Thier task is to represent their barangay in the league.
